Stallions
Our stallions have been hand-selected coming from a long line of intelligent and athletic horses. It was our aim to produce quality foals that grew into smart, strong horses with the versatility to suit a range of disciplines and the temperament to match a range of riders. All horses come from strong bloodlines in their own right; however, the combination of Star Black Minstrel & Hazelwood Conman has produced incredibly promising results and we are looking forward to seeing how the new Acres Destiny and thoroughbred bloodlines improve our horses!
Carrigans Betterman
Carrigans Betterman (#166694) is a very easy-going horse to ride, extremely soft and loves nothing more than to work a beast. He is by the one & only Hazelwood Conman out of a Freckles Oak mare called Betty's Oak. Betterman is a beautiful cherry bay stallion standing roughly 15.2hh (unmeasured).
Before we purchased Betterman he had participated in a year on the campdraft and challenge circuit and has since then continued his campdrafting career with us during the polocrosse off-season as well as the occasional barrel race.
Betterman's foals have inherited their fathers athleticism and brains. They have great temperaments, are extremely trainable and whether it be on the polocrosse field or in the ring, they put 100% in every time!
Elmoores Teejay
Elmoores Teejay (#B2-233562) is a strong, smart black thoroughbred stallion standing roughly 16hh (unmeasured). His thoroughbred bloodlines go back to Star Kingdom including a double-cross of Northern Dancer and he is both Stock Horse registered and studbook thoroughbred.
Before we purchased Elmo he was the winner of a novice campdraft as a 3 year-old and placed 2nd in the Novice at Paradise Lagoons in 2016. He then went on to compete at both the Chinchilla Grandfather Clock and Warwick Gold Cup making it back to the second round out of over 900 competitors.
We have lined a few of our top mares up for Elmo's first breeding season with us & are incredibly excited to see what hits the ground running at the end of 2019!
Taylor Made Eclipse
Taylor Made Eclipse is out of Rosebrook Magnolia by a family stallion known as Arcadian Jetsetter. Jet is the sire of a large number of incredibly athletic, smart and successful polocrosse horses playing right through from junior club to national level!
Eclipse is a zippy little horse standing roughly 15hh (unmeasured). He is ridiculously quiet and carries grandma across the paddock day in & day out getting the job done.
So far he has two filly foals on the ground - both with flashy white markings and beautiful temperaments. Eclipse also has a number of full siblings playing exceptional polocrosse - Grandma's Moon is particularly famous for just how well he looks after her on the field!
Secretheart Acres to Burn
Secretheart Acres to Burn (#244197) is the youngest stallion in our horses - he is sired by the legendary Acres Destiny out of an Adios Reflect mare 'Bellvue Classic'. Just over 2 years old we will begin breaking Nigel in over the next couple of months & are extremely excited to see how he goes under saddle.
So far Nigel is proving to be exceptionally smart and quick on his feet. He has been happily running with another gelding from his age group and in their paddock foal games he has demonstrated an excellent ability to cut-out and rate another horse.
Nigel will start breeding in the next 12-18 months.
